The fact
that Charlie was to bring his entire impoverished family to live at the factory
cures the unwatchable 1st half of the movie when Charlie didn't even have a
coin to buy a candy bar. I have been in his exact same shows.
The
beauty of the entire family comes is that this is EXACTLY what God, our Creator
promises us IRL! If we accept Christ's pardon for the entirety of our lives,
God is not some cosmic kill-joy like the Tim Burton/Depp perversion of Dahl's
story does. The Lord Jesus Christ is a NICE GUY just as Gene Wilder was; even
more so. He invented what being a decent person is. That Wilder Wonka has to
legalistically deny Charlie the prize of unlimited candy but is clearly upset
& happy about it is EXACTLY how the Lord Jesus Christ feels about us if we
don't ask for his pardon.
