TactiSMART 038: LIFE CARD-Carrying James Bond Citizen (JBC)

My Every Day Carry (EDC) SOP has changed due to events like my debit card number being stolen resulting in me buying $73 worth of DUNKIN' DONUTS--without me getting one glazed chocolate one to eat!

I stopped carrying a wallet in favor of a EMP-resistant Mylar sheath that cannot be scanned & have its plastic money access stolen.

It's kind of sad because I had worked-out an ideal EDC wallet system based around a LUCKY LINE 708 key separator dummy-corded to a Multi-Cam wallet with window for an U.S. ARMY challenge coin with hidden knife/scissors--all of it fitting into my TacPants side pocket. You don't want to ever sit on a wallet bulge and injure your lower back.

By going to just the EMP-resistant, Mylar sheath for secure plastic ID/Credit Card carry, you also lose your wallet's business card carrying capability to give & receive--which has to have the TacPants take-over that function with a rubber band around the givers and receiver cards. I can then staple the bizcard received to a blank ROLODEX file card (I know, I know). With China Flu putting Amerika asleep with permanent STAYCATION, 1st TSG (A) military reform efforts have hibernated along with trade shows like AUSA.

The clever and simply AWESOME Swiss have figured out how to get minimalist SERE capabilities in a LIFECARD designed to fit into your wallet or as I suggest Velcro-connected to your EMP-resist Mylar ID/Credit Card Sheath. .

SWISS LIFECARD from mydogtag.com

Knife, Scissors, Tweezers, Pen, Screwdrivers, Plastic Toothpick, LED mini-flash Light, Ruler, Magnifying Glass.

A good accessory to have in an emergency kit.

Fits into a credit card slot in your wallet.

Color: Black

Size: 8.1cm x 5.5cm (2" x 3")

Weight: 34 g

Such capabilities are hard to offer on a key ring by a Gerber DIME mini-Multi-Tool and mini-flashlight!

A good friend of mine, fellow U.S. military veteran, John Cowan of SURVCO has a similar-sized, Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape (SERE) AX head card that has gone viral on YOUTUBE.

However, if you have decided to go wallet-less, what can you do to carry Credit Card SERE aka LIFECARDs other than loose in your TacPants pockets which means removing them every time you change for klean clothes?

I have John's Credit Card ax in my SERE Belt Kit on my fanny pack--which doesn't need constant kleaning like clothes do. You or I could place other SERE LIFECARDs there, too.

Other options would be to carry a SERE LIFECARD on your Key Ring in your fanny pack or TacPants pocket or loose on reel-in tether, on the back of your EMP Mylar ID/Credit Card Sheath in your TacPants pocket or back of your ball cap.

Drill, Drill, Drill? No, just 1x Once

The Swiss LIFECARD should come with a hole on its function-free corner but you can carefully drill one yourself.

Now, you can put a key ring in this hole to attach like a key to your key ring.  The LUCKY LINE 708 key chain that separates is ideal:

Hard Velcro on Back--Not Hard to Do!

Place a stick & peel piece of HARD Velcro on the back of your SWISS LIFECARD and trim around magnifying glass area.

You can now place it on the back of your EMP-resistant mylar credit card sheath

...or any SOFT Velcro "home" for it--your ball cap..

...even your Combat Shirt or U.S. ARMY Combat Uniform (ACU) shoulder sleeve.

Commander Ian Fleming RNVR 1939-51 wrote the James Bond 007 books/movies for the Information Research Division of MI6-SIS who he worked for as a Master Spy under journalistic cover from 1933-39 and 1945-1964 when he was murdered (as concluded by legendary investigative reporter, Jim Marrs to me) to prevent him publicly condemning the Warren Commission white wash of the CIA's group ambush murder of his friend, President John F. Kennedy.

James Bond is REAL.
