The Hole-Punching Effect of 3x 22LRs Hits is Greater Than 1x 9mm Hit on the Non-Drugged-Up Attacker

Ambidextrous Gunfighter (AmbG) reveals that most sober attackers run away after being HIT ONCE ie; they realize they've been hit and may die--the PSYCHOLOGICAL effect. Moreover, 61% of the time a .22LR hit is enough to make non-drugged attackers go away. What this means is if you can fire & hit an attacker 3x with .22LR making 3x holes in him--this is more devastating than 1x hit with a larger 9mm bullet. 3x holes beats 1x hole in the human body.

So the defeat-attacker reality is PSYCHOLOGICAL--putting multiple holes into his body terrifying him that he has x amount of holes--possibly fatal--is the key capability; even more than the PHYSIOLOGICAL effect of a single, larger bullet which mentally is less terrifying "I'm hit" than "I've been hit several times". CAVEAT 1 would be bullet into the "box" directly into the CNS brain killing brain function. CAVEAT 2 would be the thug-on-drugs not thinking of his mortality.

What this means in Every Day Carry (EDC) self-defense, multiple hole-punching your attacker(s) is the key.   

MULTIPLE HITS are the key. 

1st, you have to bring a gun to the fight. Our research into .22LR EDC self-defense indicates being small enough to actually be carried trumps something bigger that will be a pain to carry such that you don't do it. .22 LR is better than NOTHING. Good enough beats perfect that is AWOL. The champion of this is the North American Arms (NAA) family of mini-revolvers which can be clipped to your belt with folding Holster Grip (HG) or in a very small holster OPEN CARRIED or in your tacpants pocket like a pocket knife--albeit for the latter you'll need a "mother may, I?" CCW permit from your county government putting you on their 2A enemies list. 

Next tactical self-defense consideration is quietness so criminals don't converge on you which implies using sub-sonic .22LR ammunition. Again, the NAA mini-revolver triumphs because it doesn't need its quiet sub-sonic ammo to be powerful enough to rack a slide like a stiff recoil spring pocket automatic needs--because of its finger muscle-powered revolving cylinder and hammer. Speed re-loading the NAA mini-revolvers is a problem--but we have several fixes in mind (like cylinder swap-outs like they were magazines) to share later. 

The Israeli MOSSAD uses Beretta .22LR automatics with silencers for covert hits but one wonders if instead a manually-powered revolver wouldn't be better lacking any slide retraction concerns and retains the empty shell casings leaving no forensic evidence on the ground for the enemy.
