The sling-shot can be carried on your person with lots of projectile ammo that if it hits the human body only causes pain that should make them stop whatever they are doing. The catch box structure is made of tubular steel, whereas the protective box material consists of highly resistant mesh weave, which is capable of absorbing the impact energy of steel ball bearings, even those from stronger slingshots that can shoot .50 caliber balls. An inner secondary "curtain" placed two-thirds inside the catch box absorbs most of the energy from incoming steel BB's very effectively. This is a quality product from Saunders USA.
Maybe 5 to 10% of all shots can rebound from the spinning target, but these are mostly deflected towards the ground with fairly little remaining force: there is no danger to the slingshot shooter.
Sized at 80 x 60 cm once set up, this catch box can be used almost anywhere thanks to the fact that it can be folded up and placed inside a practical carrying bag for transport or storage. 42x 1/4" steel ball BBs can be covertly stored in the Crossman B52 FSS's hand grip but this is not a ready-load option--its a SHTF, unscrew the handle open to dump the 42x BBs into your pocket and re-attach the handle.
PROBLEMS: need belt or attach to forearm wire POUCH to securely hold small steel balls yet 1x can be accessed for loading without spilling all of them?

We found a nutrition supplement "test tube" can hold 130x 1/4" BBs and be quick-attached/detached to the back of the handle using the 2" wide black, peel& stick Velcro in the same way as we earlier closed the G.I. clothespin Bipod's legs.
